The Recreational Music Making movement is quickly spreading as numerous people, just like you, are taking action and taking piano lessons for adults to make music an important component of their daily lives. Consider the fact that people you see above never played the piano at all before we introduced them to our Recreational Music Making program. Are they masters? NO! Do they want to be masters? NO! They just wanted to learn how to play the music they love.
Recreational Music Making is any kind of music making that is NOT based on performance mastery. Beginner piano lessons for adults is about music-based activities that are enjoyable, accessible, and fulfilling. It does not matter your challenges, background, ability or prior experience. What it does is provide nurturing, social support, bonding, intellectual stimulation, heightened understanding and enhanced capacity to cope with life's challenges.
We believe everyone should have music in their life and not just passive listening. Anyone who has ever played an instrument will tell you how much enjoyment they received from playing. We believe that every person is musical and will blossom if just given the right opportunity. We know that playing music at any level and any age enhances life.
Who Can Attend? This program is for young and older adults alike. Adults want to learn the songs they are familiar with. This course will teach you to play any piece of music at a beginning to intermediate level. And there are literally thousands of pieces of music written for this level that are enjoyable to play and listen to.
